Blankfein got $9.8M

Goldman Sachs gave Chairman and CEO Lloyd Blankfein $9.8 million in total compensation for 2009, the bank said in a filing yesterday.

Blankfein’s pay included a $600,000 salary, $9 million in restricted stock awards and about $262,000 in other compensation. He received $862,000 for 2008, reflecting his decision to forgo a bonus that year when the firm converted to a bank holding company and accepted $10 billion in government rescue funds.

JPMorgan Chase handed CEO Jamie Dimon $15.5 million in salary, stock and other compensation last year, the bank said in a filing.

Meanwhile, American International Group boss Robert Benmosche, the highest-paid executive at the bailed-out insurer, will get a $7 million salary again this year, said paymaster Kenneth Feinberg.
