Hell hath no fury like a redheaded spy scorned.
Russian mole Anna Chapman — seething that British ex-hubby Alex Chapman peddled topless photos of her along with spicy tidbits of their sex life — is now plotting to sue him, her lawyer revealed.
“She’s very upset about Alex,” the lawyer, Robert Baum, is quoted as saying in a video of a phone chat between him and Anna’s sister.
“She asked me if she could take him to court for making false statements, and the answer is yes,” Baum says in the video, which was posted on the Russian Web site lifenews.ru yesterday.
Aside from Chapman stewing over her gabby ex, Baum told the spy’s worried younger sister, Katya, 23, that the comely mole had held up well during her confinement in a Manhattan prison, alone in a cell “23 of 24 hours each day.”
“She’s in good spirits,” he assured Katya.
The sister told Baum that Alex Chapman, who was married to Anna for four years, had been bombarding her with calls and e-mails trying to deny his role in releasing the sizzling photos and talking to the media.
He said “he’s very concerned about Anna and can do what needs to be done to make her look not the way they wrote about her because he didn’t say all those things,” Katya told Baum.
The sister said Alex told her he didn’t know where the naughty pictures came from.
“He sold them to the press,” Baum angrily responded. “He made money. A lot of money.”
Baum said Alex — whom he called a “liar” — probably had a right to sell the photos, but she’s looking to sue over false statements, he said.
