Hizzoner’s bottom line on ‘sag’ OK

Cut these slacks some slack.

While he’s not a fan of saggy pants, Mayor Bloomberg said yesterday he agreed with a Bronx judge who ruled New York City cops shouldn’t be be bothering with crimes against fashion.

“I don’t know why people dress the way they dress,” Hizzoner said. “Some dress the way I do. Some dress differently. I am certainly not the style police, much to my girlfriend’s annoy ance.”

Bloom berg’s re marks came a day after The Post, in a front-page story (inset), reported that Bronx Judge Ruben Franco tossed out a summons against Julio Martinez, who had been cited for disorderly conduct in April for wearing low-riding pants.

Franco ruled that “the Constitution still leaves some opportunity [for people] to be foolish if they so desire.”

“I don’t think the government should be in the business of telling people what they should wear,” Bloomberg said yesterday, admitting that all his suits “look the same.”

“The government’s got enough things to do, for goodness sakes.”
