Mel Gibson sent ‘apology email’ day after alleged attack on ex: report

Mel Gibson apologized to his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva via email the day after he allegedly attacked her in an incident being investigated by Los Angeles cops, entertainment website RadarOnline reported Friday.

Grigorieva claims Gibson punched her twice in the head and broke two of her teeth as she held their infant daughter Lucia during the Jan. 6 domestic dispute.

In the Jan. 7 dated email, Gibson apparently asked Grigorieva, “How’s your tooth?”

He later added, “Could you please call me. I want to tell you how unspeakably sorry I am.”

The emails were being used as part of the police investigation into the dispute, RadarOnline said.

The website previously reported that Gibson, 54, also text messaged his former lover on Jan. 7.

“Oksana, I wasn’t safe for you last night. I spent two hours with a therapist today and have regained some perspective,” he allegedly said in the message.

The Oscar-winning actor saw his reputation nosedive following RadarOnline’s release of a series of explosive recorded phone calls between him and Grigorieva, 40.

The expletive-ridden tapes are filled with threats against his ex, repeated demands for sexual favors and racial slurs.

Gibson was interviewed by police Sunday over the Jan. 6 incident but refused to answer questions, citing his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination.
