Shark Week,” which aired Aug. 1-7.

The week averaged 31 million viewers (all programs combined), making it the most-watched “Shark Week” yet, beating the 2008 week by around 1 million viewers. Two of the shows, “Ultimate Air Jaws” and “Into the Shark Bite” averaged 3.5 million and 2.9 million viewers, respectively, putting them on the list of the top five “Shark Week” shows of all time. The week also boosted visitors to Discovery Channel’s Web site, which increased its traffic 324 percent over last year (2.4 million streams of shark-related videos vs. last year’s 560,000 streams.).

ABC, in conjunction with Profiles in History, is auctioning off props, costumes and set pieces from “Lost” Aug. 21 and 22 in the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif. Bidding for the items begins at 4 p.m. NY time both days (1 p.m. in LA); bids can be placed vid mail, phone, fax or live on the ‘Net (hint: they’re making it really easy for you to spend some money). The memorabilia — which includes full sections of the Oceanic Flight 815 wreckage — encompasses all six seasons of the show, which ended last May.

The inimitable Pat Cooper will guest on the annual “Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon” live from the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa in Las Vegas. The telethon airs Sept. 5-6 on Ch. 9.

Speaking of which . . . Jimmy Walker, who shot to fame as “JJ” on “Good Times” in the ’70s, will be a guest on “Martin Lawrence Presents 1st Amendment Stand-up,” which returns to Starz on Friday, Sept. 10 (11 p.m.). Walker’s episode doesn’t yet have an airdate, but local comics Smokey Suarez and Roz G will be featured on the season premiere.

* CBS’ new daytime show, “The Talk,” premieres Monday, Oct. 18 (2 p.m./Ch. 2). It’s hosted by Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Holly Robinson Peete, Leah Remini and Marissa Jaret Winokur . . . “Two Days in April,” a behind-the-scenes look at the annual NFL Draft, airs Aug. 20 (8:30 p.m.) on Documentary Channel . . . Sundance Channel launches a standalone digital magazine (fullfrontalfashion.com) Sept. 8, to coincide with New York Fall Fashion Week . . . GeorgeOh myTakei in town this week over at Sirius/XM . . .
