Drama mama

It’s girls’ night out as Mama highlights some of her favorite drama queens and prin cesses:

* “Warehouse 13” (Tuesday, 9 p.m., Syfy) If you aren’t watching this inventive, fun, new summer offering from Syfy, you should tune in as Mama’s favorite new geek, Claudia, gets her chance to shine as a field agent. Far superior to its sister freak show, “Eureka,” “Warehouse” has a treasure trove of a cast, including Mama’s favorite female badass, CCH Pounder, as a mysterious team leader.

* “Army Wives” (Sunday, 10 p.m., Lifetime) Now that she’s divorced, Pamela isn’t technically an Army Wife, so apparently she’s free to leave Fort Marshall for a spinoff series. Expect her to find a new BFF in Gabrielle Union, who shows up to help with a murder investigation Pamela’s working on in nearby Charleston.

* “The Closer” and “Rizzoli & Isles” (Monday, 9 and 10 p.m., TNT) Mama has never been a fan of police procedurals, but she has to admit she is addicted to the girl-power hours every Tuesday on TNT. Kyra Sedgwick kicks butt among a mess of men, who were gossiping like a bunch of hens this week when they found out Brenda applied for chief. And following Brenda is Mama’s new favorite medical examiner, Maura Isles, who is confident enough to wear 4-inch heels to a crime scene and make it look natural.

* “General Hospital” (Weekdays, 3 p.m., ABC) Vanessa Marcil . . . Giovinazzo (her new last name, for now) returns to her former life as Brenda this week on “General Hospital.” Tuesday’s Brenda Marathon that hijacked ABC’s daytime schedule reminded Mama how much she enjoyed this darkest of the daytime dramas before everyone on the show became connected to the Mob. If you missed this trip down memory lane, you can also catch the “The Best of Brenda and Sonny” Marathon on Soapnet this Sunday.
