Slain clerk’s girlfriend recalls moments before he was killed

He saved her life, but he would have done the same for anyone.

The heartbroken girlfriend of a Yoseph Robinson tearfully told The Post today about how he tangled with a gun-wielding robber at his Midwood liquor store and allowed her to escape, only to be shot to death.

“We were goofing around on Facebook [on Thursday night]. The guy walked in and pointed the gun at me and said give me your jewelry,“ said Lahavah Wallace, 37, who had been dating the Jamaica hip-hopper turned Orthodox Jew.

“He pointed the gun at Yoseph and said give me the money. Then he pointed the gun back at me and said take your jewelry off.

“I froze. I’ve never had a gun pointed at me before.“

Wallace said she was wearing a sapphire bracelet and started to remove it.

“I think the guy seemed a little unsure of himself. I don’t know what he would have done.“

They’d planned to go to South Street Seaport after closing at 10 p.m.

“Yoseph grabbed the guy’s wrist. The guy pulled back and pointed the gun back at me. Yoseph reached for the gun again. He jumped over the counter and wrestled with the guy with the gun and told me to go.“

She ran to back room with Yoseph’s cousin Shamar.

She heard three shots.

“We were scared. I didn’t know if the guy was still out there.“

She called 911. When it seemed safe, they came out of the back room and saw Robinson bleeding on the floor.

“It was totally in character for Yoseph Robinson. That’s who he was.

“He was the type of person that whoever would have been there, he would have done that.“

The killer is still at large.
