Live rude girls

It’s unclear exactly why Amy Poehler and Tina Fey decided to host this weekend’s Golden Globes (it’s because of the alcohol), but one thing we do know (besides that they’re excited about the alcohol) is that the old pals are sure to serve their own special brand of comedy (as well as alcohol).

“It’s a very kind of sloppy, loud party, and that seemed like our kind of thing,” Fey jokes in one of the show’s recent promos.

Regardless of how loud and sloppy the show ends up being, the night will make history in that it will be the first time the awards ceremony has been cohosted exclusively by the female of the species. Women have cohosted alongside men, such as Raquel Welch with Michael York, in 1985, but never as a duo and never solo.

The move makes sense. Women make up a large portion of the viewing audience for awards shows, and last year’s Globes were the No. 1 nonsports show for the week in the top three female demographics.

Switching hosts from Ricky Gervais to Fey and Poehler might help reel in a few more viewers. The pair is unlikely to make headlines for taking shots at stars in the audience, though, as Gervais did, snarkily introducing Bruce Willis as “Ashton Kutcher’s dad.”

“I don’t think anybody has to be afraid,” Fey told The Hollywood Reporter.

In anticipation of what promises to be a funny (if friendly) night, The Post asked local female comics what they think Fey and Poehler will deliver on a night when most actresses are noticed for their bustlines, not how they bust people up.

ABBI CRUTCHFIELD

“As a kid, I was drawn to the glitz and glamour of awards shows and televised pageants, imagining myself in a sparkly dress. Maybe this year the young’uns watching at home will aspire to become the two women hilariously hosting, instead of the woman who silently escorts people offstage.”

OPHIRA EISENBERG

“I’m expecting something groundbreaking. With not one, but two funny women hosting a show, I think half the country is going to love it and the other half is going to wonder if the Golden Globes was replaced with a breast-cancer benefit. I hope every commercial break is for Virginia Slims.”

MICHELLE BUTEAU

“Hands down, the Golden Globes is one of my most fave award shows. It almost feels like a bar mitzvah for Hollywood. And with Tina and Amy hosting, not only will it be more entertaining than Beyoncé singing ‘Single Ladies’ in hot shorts, these two comedic geniuses will inspire women all over the world, proving that we can live our life like an episode of ‘Oprah’s Next Chapter.’ Hats off, Spanx on, ladies.”

SARA BENINCASA

“It’s an absolute pleasure to see a pair of women performers who seem like genuine friends. I’d get the same charge out of seeing Naomi Watts with Nicole Kidman, but with Poehler and Fey I get the added bonus of tons of giggles. Is it sexist to say I’m really psyched to see what’s happening with Amy’s boobs? Based on their performance at the Emmys, I’m sure they’re going to look spectacular.”
