Qns. man who tried to lure teen girls into his SUV arrested

A sicko who tried to lure two teen girls into a luxury SUV in Queens was arrested, police said.

Angel Recalde, 43, of Flushing was tracked down by detectives after he rented a late-model Cadillac Escalade and used it to approach young girls.

“It was excellent detective work,” said Police Commissioner Ray Kelly at a graduation ceremony this morning.

Recalde allegedly approached a 14-year-old around 8 p.m. on Jan. 25 near Northern and Parsons boulevards and tried to get her to come towards his SUV, cops said.

When she wouldn’t come near him, the sicko allegedly followed her in the car but eventually gave up and took off, authorities said.

Earlier that day, he also approached a 13-year-old around 7 a.m. on Northern Boulevard near 102nd Street, and tried to talk to her. When she walked away from him, he got out of the SUV and approached her again, police said.

The girl walked away, and the perv allegedly grabbed her arm. She bravely pulled away from him and he ran off, cops said.

“They looked at Cadillac Escalades to see rent for hires, which led them to the individual who was arrested,” said Kelly. “He made statements implicating himself.”

Authorities charged Recalde with two counts of luring a child to commit a crime, as well as endangering the welfare of a child and harassment.
