A woman was nearly raped on the subway in Harlem when she changed cars to get away from a perverted straphanger, authorities said.
The 21-year-old victim was riding the northbound 3 train at around 4 p.m. Thursday when she spotted a man masturbating, cops said.
The woman tried to get away from the creep by moving to another car, but he followed her before grabbing her from behind and forcing her onto a seat where he tried to rape her, cops said.
The suspect fled the train when it pulled into the 148th Street station.
He is described as being in his 20s or 30s, stands around 6-feet tall and was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, cops said.
