Tears for boy, rage at guard

The grieving parents of a 6-year-old Harlem boy killed by a truck on his way to school buried him yesterday — amid angry calls to punish a crossing guard who had been away from her post when Thursday’s horrific accident occurred.

Sidiki Diarrassouba, the father of the slain boy, Amar, nodded silently in a Harlem mosque as an imam said prayers for his son.

The family had said the guard, Flavia Roman, would be welcome at the funeral, but she did not attend.

Politicians, however, were not as forgiving.

“She should be disciplined to the full extent of the rules and regulations, including dismissal,” said former MTA chief and current mayoral candidate Joe Lhota, adding that the DA should prosecute if he thinks there’s a case.

But police said they would not charge Roman, an NYPD employee, and the DA’s Office declined to comment.
