78-year-old man dies in Brooklyn fire; two others injured

A fire tore through a Brooklyn apartment – killing one man and injuring two others, authorities said.

The blaze broke out around 3:15 a.m. inside of 51 Ross St. in Williamsburg, the FDNY said.

A 78-year-old man, with trauma to his body, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

There were two other victims with minor injuries taken to an area hospital, the FDNY said.

The fire is believed to be electrical, sources said.

Firefighters place the flames under control in just under an hour, the FDNY said.

The city’s medical examiner will determine what caused the trauma to the victim’s body, officials said.
