Ex-employee for Lucky Brand Jeans busted for stalking, threatening Liz Claiborne CEO

A disgruntled former employee of Lucky Brand Jeans was arrested for stalking and threatening the chief executive officer of Liz Claiborne, authorities said.

Naphtali Brooks, 21, was arrested on Wednesday for sending threatening emails, texts and phone calls to CEO William McComb, as well as a human resources executive and the manager of the store where he used to work, according to court records.

Brooks was let go from his position at Lucky Brand Jeans on Fifth Avenue in Chelsea and between Feb. 10 and 15 started threatening to lower the value of the corporation’s stock and even told McComb in an email that he was “digging a deeper grave” for himself, court papers state.

After being asked to stop sending the messages, Brooks showed up at the company’s headquarters on Broadway, where he was arrested, law enforcement sources said.

“HUGEE business meeting in the city with some potential investors!!! Wish me Lucky ya’ll!!!” Brooks wrote on his Facebook page the same day he was arrested.

Brooks was charged with several counts of stalking, court records show.
