Arsenal gal blasts ‘sexist’ Biden

WASHINGTON — The woman whom Vice President Joe Biden urged to “buy a shotgun” blasted that recommendation yesterday.

“It was poor advice, and it comes off a little sexist,” Kate Ernest said on Fox News Channel.

The 24-year-old mom from Scottsdale, Ariz., got the pointers from Biden in a Facebook “chat” Tuesday.

“You don’t need an AR-15 — it’s harder to aim,” Biden explained. “You don’t need 30 rounds to protect yourself. Buy a shotgun!”

Biden said he tells his wife, Jill, to fire their double-barreled shotgun in the air if she has any trouble alone at home.

“It seems very unrealistic to have a shotgun in the house,” she told TV’s “Inside Edition” in a separate interview. “They’re big. Heavy. Hard to load. For a woman there’s a lot of recoil.”

Ernest, who boasts a small arsenal that includes an AR-15 rifle, said she didn’t need Biden to tell her how to arm herself.

“It’s good to have a way to protect yourself rather than just being a sitting duck,” she said of her trusty assault weapon.
