NJ pol hooker snooker

The FBI is investigating claims that New Jersey Sen. Robert Menendez romped with underage prostitutes in the Dominican Republic, but so far hasn’t found any evidence, reports say.

Federal agents recently traveled there to examine a tipster’s claim that Florida eye doctor and Menendez campaign donor Salomon Melgen lavished the senator with hookers and sex parties during vacations, the Washington Post reported yesterday.

Menendez and his allies deny the allegations.

Menendez, a Democrat and the new chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, is being investigated over a port-security contract in the Dominican Republic that would benefit buddy Melgen, who’s an investor in the contracted company.

The senator is also facing an ethics probe for failing to disclose trips to the Dominican Republic on Melgen’s private jet. Federal agents have also raided Melgen’s West Palm Beach office as part of a Medicaid fraud investigation.
