Smart way to record meeting

If you often need to record conversations and would like to use your mobile device, you might want to check out Audio Memos.

The app features a simple interface with a number of recording and audio features.

You can control when recordings start and stop by tapping on buttons or using voice or timer settings. If you select the voice controls, you can determine the sound level at which recording occurs. While you’re recording, you can also note certain points, like the beginning of a new question, by tapping on the bookmark button. When you’re listening to the audio, you can move section to section by using the forward or previous buttons.

You can copy parts of a recording and overwrite entire voice memos with the touch of a button and delete them by swiping.

From within the app, you can e-mail a voice memo to someone else or send it to your computer. To download a recording, just go to the app’s website and click on a link to connect to your Apple device. A list of your voice memos will appear, and you can right-click on the ones you want.

In addition, the app has an audio normalizing filter, enabling you to have a consistent average volume on all recordings, and you can use the “volume boost” feature to enhance how loud the playback is.

Audio Memos is available for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch as well as Android-based mobile devices. There is a free version, but for advanced features outlined above, you’ll have to download the $0.99 or $9.99 versions.
