Boom lowers again on crane kid

The son of crane magnate James Lomma yesterday was nabbed with heroin packets labeled “America’s problem’’ — his second drug bust in six months, authorities said.

James Lomma Jr., 22, was carrying brass knuckles and 25 “decks” — $10 heroin bags — on Bay Street and Victory Boulevard in Staten Island, court papers say.

“I need to change my lifestyle. I thought brass knuckles were legal,” he allegedly told cops.

He pleaded guilty to misdemeanor drug possession and will be sentenced May 7.

Last spring, his dad was cleared of manslaughter charges in the 2008 Upper East Side crane collapse that killed two.
