Brody & Carrie are kaput

Is it love gone bad or the fact that he’s blamed for killing 200 people?

You decide — but British actor Damian Lewis, who plays the turncoat Marine Nick Brody in the sizzling hot suspense drama “Homeland,” says his character’s romance with CIA analyst Carrie Mathison isn’t going to survive into next season.

“I think Brody and Carrie are over,” Lewis told a TV interviewer in London over the weekend.

“I don’t think those two can be together. Can you imagine them being married and bringing up kids?

“So I don’t think that’s a story that’s got many legs.”

Lewis knows something about where the red-hot suspense series is heading, too.

He says he’s seen the first six episodes, which is all that’s written so far.

In last season’s finale, terrorists framed Brody for a bomb that goes off at CIA headquarters killing hundreds.

New-season filming starts in May and the show is back in September.
