Swag company sued after ‘calling Bieber an idiot’

They’re not Beliebers.

A Manhattan firm with licensing rights for Justin Bieber products slapped a Texas company with a breach-of-contract suit on Friday alleging honchos there called the Biebs an “idiot” on the Internet and failed to make good on $100,000 in payments to sell the teen idol’s merchandise.

Bravado International Group Merchandising Services says in its Manhattan federal court suit that Gianni Giannulli and his company Wall Celebrity failed to pay off half of a $200,000 tab for the rights to sell Bieber products and then “negatively affected” Bieber-merchandise sales and the singer’s “reputation” by claiming on the Web he’s an “idiot.”

The suit doesn’t mention the source of where Wall Celebrity allegedly threw Bieber under the bus, but five months ago someone identifying themselves from the company talked about the deal while discussing bankruptcy options with a Wall Street lawyer on justanswer.com.

Referring to why the company couldn’t make its $100,000 payment in April, the user claimed “retailers no longer [want] to carry Justin’s merchandise because he is an idiot.” The exchange does not expand on the alleged idiocy of the Biebs, who reportedly tossed eggs Thursday at his neighbor’s front door in Calabasas, Calif.

However, Giannulli told the Post he never called Bieber an idiot, adding his company’s website was “hacked” in explaining the justanswer.com posting.

“This is just crazy,” Giannulli, 22, said. “The company never even got off the ground … I never called Justin Bieber an idiot.”

The suit doesn’t mention which Bieber products Giannulli agreed to sell, but the pop star’s empire includes Bieber-named backpacks, figurines, singing dolls, toothbrushes and nail polish.

Reps for Bravado and Bieber did not immediately return messages seeking comment.

The suit seeks more than $100,000 in compensatory damages.
