“Switched at Birth” (Monday, 8 p.m., ABC Family)
Joining the swapped-teen series for its third season is “Breaking Bad”’s RJ Mitte, who plays a pre-med student who connects with Daphne (Katie Leclerc) as she begins her senior year alongside Bay (Vanessa Marano). Their Carlton School for the Deaf will welcome a group of hearing students this year, which should increase the tension at this already troubled school. Sandra Bernhard also guest stars this season as Bay’s art teacher at the community college. Following this series is the season premiere of the equally good “The Fosters,” who return from the cliffhanger finale in which Callie (Maia Mitchell) ran away from her new family with newlyweds Stef (Teri Polo) and Lena (Sherri Saum).
“Buffy and Veronica Power Hours” (Weekdays, 10 p.m., Pivot)
If you can find this cable channel on your TV, the kids can relive your glory days with back-to-back reruns of teen girl idols from the 1990s, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” and from the 2000s, “Veronica Mars.”
“Suburgatory” (Wednesday, 8:30 p.m., ABC)
With Malin Akerman snagging her own series, “Trophy Wife,” it appears highly unlikely that Tessa (Jane Levy) will stick with her mother, whom she left dad George (Jeremy Sisto) for last season. In the season premiere, George tries to rebuild his relationship with his daughter by intro-ducing her to his new dog. And with Dalia (Carly Chaikin) still mad at Dallas (Cheryl Hines) for breaking up with Daddy Altman, this comedy won’t have a lot of laughs to go around.
“I Didn’t Do It” (Friday, 9:40 p.m., Disney)
The latest in a long line of seemingly innocuous family-channel tween comedies that mask the undermining of adult authority in favor of bad-behaving kids who overuse the catchphrases found in the title of the show as they depend on each other for moral support. But if your kids are into this kind of thing, they’ll recognize Olivia Holt of Disney XD’s “Kickin’ It,” who stars as one of the misbehaving twins masking her heart of gold.
