Man gets arrested trying to make ‘X-Factor’ audition

Police in Louisiana say a chase after a stolen Pontiac Grand Prix ended with a forced spinout and the arrest of a man who said he took the car because he had to attend a second audition for the singing show “The X Factor.”

Orrion Wilson, 20, of Jacksonville, Fla., was in the Slidell jail yesterday, one day after open auditions for the singing contest in New Orleans, police said. Slidell is just outside New Orleans.

Wilson was booked on charges of aggravated assault on a police officer, theft of a motor vehicle, theft over $500, criminal damage, resisting an officer and aggravated flight from an officer.

No word on where the car had allegedly been stolen from or what Wilson intended to sing in his call-back audition.
