2 brothers each lose leg in Boston Marathon terror attack

Hours after the terror attack on the Boston Marathon, the stories of the horrific injuries suffered in the bombing are beginning to emerge.

Two brothers – watching a friend run the marathon — each lost a leg yesterday, their shocked mother told the Boston Globe.

Liz Norden said her younger son called her saying, “Ma, I’m hurt real bad.”

Norden said it took two hours to get enough details to realize the extent of their injuries: both brothers had each lost a leg from the knee down, according to the report.

“I’d never imagined in my wildest dreams this would ever happen. I feel sick,” she said. “I think I could pass out.”

Norden said her sons were standing near Martin Richard, the 8-year-old victim of the blast.
