Woman switches off husband while pummeling him with remote control in money fight

A Park Slope woman was arrested after she pummeled her husband so badly with a remote control that he blacked out after a money squabble, law-enforcement sources said.

Ala Fakhereddine, 25, began arguing with her spouse, 33, after she asked him for money for a trip she was going on the next day about 10 a.m. April 10, sources said.

She allegedly began scratching him, and then allegedly kicked him in the crotch. She then bashed him in the head with the control until he blacked out, sources said.

After he he went unconscious, she called 911, authorities said.

When EMS arrived on Carroll Street near Fourth Avenue, the victim was so disoriented that he tried to give the EMTs cash, sources said. He was treated for his injuries at Lutheran Medical Center.

Fakhereddine was charged with assault, menacing, and criminal possession of a weapon, as well as harassment, among other charges.

She was released without any bail being set.
