NBA: West leads Pacers to victory over Hawks

David West scored 24 points and Paul George had 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Pacers past the Hawks 106-83 to take a 3-2 playoff series lead. Josh Smith and Al Horford each had 14 points to lead the Hawks.

James Harden scored 31 points and sank seven 3-pointers while fighting through flu-like symptoms as the Rockets beat the host Thunder 107-100 to pull within 3-2 in their first-round playoff series. Kevin Durant finished with 36 points for Oklahoma City.

The Bucks will not offer interim head coach Jim Boylan a new contract. The Bucks lost 12 of their last 16 games, before getting swept by the Heat. … Clippers guard Chris Paul was diagnosed with a bruised left thumb but is expected to start Game 6 tomorrow vs. the Grizzlies. MLB: Dickey dealing with neck inflammation

Blue Jays knuckleballer R.A. Dickey was diagnosed with mild inflammation in his neck and back following an MRI exam. The NL Cy Young award winner is 2-4 with a 4.50 ERA in six starts with Toronto this season.

The owner of the Cubs publicly threatened to move the team out of Wrigley Field if his plans for a big, new video screen are blocked.

NHL: Bruins bash Leafs in Game 1

Nathan Horton scored the go-ahead goal late in the first period and the Bruins beat the Maple Leafs 4-1 in Game 1 of their playoff series. The Bruins scored more than three goals for the first time in 10 games.

Dan Boyle and Patrick Marleau scored in the third period for the Sharks, who rallied to beat the Canucks 3-1 in Game 1 in Vancouver.

ETC.: Rutgers lands top recruit

Eddie Jordan, Rutgers’ new basketball coach, landed his biggest recruit yesterday in Bishop O’Connell (Va.) forward Junior Etou, the cousin of Oklahoma City Thunder star Serge Ibaka. On Tuesday, Jordan added point guard D’von Campbell of Texas.

Bayern Munich made it an all-German Champions League final, routing Barcelona 3-0 to secure a 7-0 aggregate. Munich faces Borussia Dortmund in the final on May 25 in London.
