London’s Metropolitan Police said specialist firearms officers arrested another man suspected of conspiring to murder 25-year-old soldier Lee Rigby. Police did not provide details about the suspect, only saying he is 22 years old.

The latest arrest followed the detainment in London late Saturday of three others, aged 21 to 28, also suspected in the case.

Earlier today, Rigby’s grieving family laid flowers at the site of his murder in Woolwich, taking time to read many of the hundreds of tribute cards.

His widow Rebecca had tears rolling down her cheeks as she pinned a balloon to a nearby lamppost with the message “Dad in a million”. There was also a Dad card left from his two-year-old son Jack.

His mother Lyn, and stepdad Ian, were also at the spot in southeast London. They were all clearly moved as they took their time to read the tributes, hugging and comforting each other. Lyn Rigby wept and sat on the curb while other family members wrapped their arms around her.

Some of the group appeared too overcome with emotion and returned to the row of cars that had taken them to the spot. Others then crossed back to the other side of the road, which had been closed by police, where they continued to examine some of the many tributes. They put their arms around one another and hugged again before all getting inside the cars just after 1pm.

The emotional scene was watched by hundreds of members of the public who had also gone to pay their respects to the soldier who was run down and brutally killed on Wednesday by two suspected Muslim terrorists. Passers-by were held back by police as the soldier’s family stayed for 20 minutes and looked on in respectful silence.
