Trayvon jury ‘bias’ fears

SANFORD, Fla. — Attorneys trying to seat a jury in George Zimmerman’s trial for shooting an unarmed teen stopped questioning a white man in his 20s yesterday after he gave answers that indicated he wouldn’t be impartial.

The juror said that “murder is murder,” even if it’s self-defense.

Zimmerman, 29, has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder, claiming he shot Trayvon Martin, 17, in self-defense while on neighborhood watch in March 2012.

Potential jurors also included a white man in his 50s who was questioned by Judge Debra Nelson about a posting on his Facebook page. The nature of the posting wasn’t disclosed.
