The team roster for the rebooted version of “24” team has added another key player.
Jon Cassar, who wrote for and produced the iconic Fox series for seven seasons, will do the same for “24: Live Another Day,” in which Kiefer Sutherland will return as tough-guy terror fighter Jack Bauer in a limited-run “event” series.
Cassar will produce and direct the new show — which is expected to premiere next May. He’s already committed to directing its first two episodes.
Howard Gordon and David Fury, who wrote and produced the original “24,” are also working on the new version.
The original series aired for eight seasons on Fox, ending in May 2010.
