Road-rage chase through Brooklyn ends in crash into building, driver beaten

A man drove into a Brooklyn building this afternoon while trying to escape another driver, authorities and witnesses said.

The driver smashed his red Lincoln Navigator into a Bedford-Stuyvesant building on Marion Street near Howard Avenue about 2:30 p.m., according to an FDNY spokesman and witnesses.

The owner of the building, Sherman Oakley, said he came outside and saw the driver being stomped by on another man.

“The guy was saying, ‘I should kill you right now,'” said Oakley. The man then told him he been chasing the driver in his gray SUV since he hit him on Jefferson and Broadway.

An FDNY spokesman said the building was evacuated, and that the power was shut off.

EMS took the driver to Kings County Hospital, and the spokesman said he suffered minor injuries.
