‘2nd Avenue Subway’ crash

And he didn’t even need a MetroCard!

An SUV was knocked into a hole on a part of the Second Avenue subway construction site on the Upper East Side yesterday afternoon, witnesses said.

The silver Honda was on Second Avenue at around 2:30 p.m., when it collided with a black Toyota SUV, the witnesses said.

The smash-up caused the car to plow into the construction site at East 95th Street and plummet into a hole, they said.

The Honda’s driver leaped out before it landed in the abyss, they said.

“If the hole wasn’t there, he would have hit the building,” a witness said.

One person was taken to New York Hospital with minor injuries, FDNY officials said.

The driver of the Toyota was ticketed for driving with a suspended license, according to a police source.
