Man dies after falling from roof of car that crashed in Queens during argument; woman in custody

A 33-year-old man was killed today and a woman who lived with him taken into custody after she smashed her car with the victim clinging to the roof, sources said.

The unidentified pair got into an argument in their Dexter Court home around 8 a.m. and the man somehow ended up on the hood of the car, with the woman speeding around until she crashed, sources added.

The man on the hood was yelling as the vehicle sped westbound on Jamaica Avenue, said Guille Areola, 35, who sells flowers at Euclid and Jamaica avenues.

“I thought it was for fun,” she said.

Then the car turned around and drove East on Jamaica Avenue and, by then, it was clear the man was terrified, Areola said.

“I could see desperation on the man’s face,” she said. “There was fear.”

The blue Ford Explorer hit another car at Jamaica Avenue and Crescent Street around 8:45 a.m., witnesses told the Post.

“I heard a crash and ran over and saw the man,” Areola said. “He was cognitive but dazed. The woman was crying. She looked confused.”

The man, whose name was not released, was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:30 a.m., police sources said.

The driver and two people in the other car were disoriented and were taken to Brookdale Hospital with minor injuries, officials said.

The driver is being questioned by police.
