Woman rescued from Williamsburg tracks

An elderly woman was rescued from the subway tracks in Williamsburg today, authorities said.

She fell from the Queens-bound platform shortly before noon at the Hewes subway station, near Broadway, according to an FDNY spokesman.

Good Samaritans helped pull her up, and she was not hit by the train, authorities added.

EMS rushed her to Bellevue Hospital, where she is being treated for trauma.
