Queens The NYPD is searching for a thief who since last month has robbed a bank in Queens and two in Brooklyn.

Between Aug. 11 and Sept. 6, the unidentified suspect has hit Chase branches at 444 Fifth Ave. in Park Slope and 7510 Fifth Ave. in Bay Ridge and a North Fork branch at 70-01 Forest Ave. in Ridgewood, police said.

In each case, the crook demanded money from a bank employee and fled with an unspecified sum. Police describe him as 45 to 50 years old.

Manhattan Police arrested a man in Central Park for raising a “racket” – a tennis racquet he stole after breaking into a Mercedes-Benz, authorities said yesterday.

Thomas Chaskley, 47, smashed a rear window of the white Benz, registered to a 47-year-old Upper East Side woman, on Fifth Avenue near East 93rd Street at 9:50 a.m. Tuesday, sources said.

A witness said Chaskley reached in, grabbed the racquet and dashed off.

The witness called the cops, who quickly grabbed Chaskley as he boarded a bus at 97th and Fifth, sources said.

A restaurant chef was attacked by an out-of-towner who broke into an Upper West Side eatery, authorities said yesterday.

As he arrived for work, the 28-year-old chef witnessed Gerald Garcia, 30, leaving the eatery on Columbus Avenue near West 77th Street through an iron lift gate at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, sources said.

Garcia, of Greenville, Texas, was allegedly carrying sneakers, hats and two backpacks – one of which belonged to the chef and contained a CD player, an iPod and a personal check.

The chef confronted Garcia, who allegedly hit him in the face and tried to gouge his eyes. Police arrested Garcia at the scene.

A DA’s Office spokesman said Garcia was charged with burglary and assault. The victim was treated at St. Luke’s Hospital.

Police busted a Bronx man who acted as a lookout in a gunpoint Upper East Side candy-store robbery that netted $1,000, authorities said yesterday.

The theft occurred at 8:30 p.m. Monday on Lexington Avenue near East 92nd Street.

The lookout, Antonio Gonzalez, 37, stood at the door while his gun-toting accomplice accosted a clerk, sources said.

The gunman pushed the clerk to the ground and stole cash from the register and a lottery-machine drawer.

He also fired a single round, which hit no one, and fled with Gonzalez, cops said.

The worker called the police, who grabbed Gonzalez.

Two teenagers were arrested yesterday in connection with the May murder of a convicted drug dealer in East Harlem, authorities said.

Trevor Lewis, 17, was charged with murder, and Tyrik Owens, 17, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the shooting of Delvon Hairston, 27, after a heated argument.

Brooklyn A gun-wielding thug shot a man to death in Bushwick, police said yesterday.

The assailant pumped a bullet into the face of William Gomez, 30, at Bleecker Street and Irving Avenue at 11:20 p.m. Wednesday, cops said.

Gomez, whose criminal record included a robbery conviction, died at Wyckoff Hospital, authorities said. The shooter fled.

Police grabbed a thief who committed two Williamsburg burglaries, authorities said yesterday.

William Bradley, 52, allegedly struck a building on Frost Street near Graham Avenue at 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 3, entering a room and swiping some tools, including a screw gun and a grinder.

On Sept. 10 at 5:45 p.m., he broke into a warehouse on Division Place near Debevoise Avenue, authorities said.

But a witness who allegedly spotted him putting cases of water into a shopping cart alerted the police, and Bradley was hit with a slew of charges, including criminal trespass and burglary.

Two hoods were arrested in Bensonhurst in the theft of a wallet containing $100, authorities said yesterday.

At 9:10 p.m. on Sept. 8, Gloria Bavero, 46, swiped the wallet at Bay 41st Street and Bath Avenue, sources said.

Later that day, the victim spotted Rocco Bavero, whose relationship to Gloria Bavero was unclear, shoving the wallet – minus the cash – into a mailbox at 26th Street and Bath Avenue.

Police arrested the suspects, who were charged with robbery and menacing.

Staten Island Three brothers and a friend were arrested in melee that left a cop with a broken arm, authorities said yesterday.

Police responded to a Hill Street apartment to arrest Santos Jimenez, 25, for violating an order of protection that compelled him to stay away from his ex-girlfriend, sources said.

The cops encountered Jimenez, his two brothers, José, 24, and Luis, 23, and their buddy Richard Castro, 22.

A fight erupted in which Castro allegedly tossed a bottle at one officer, breaking his right forearm.

Castro then allegedly hurled hydrogen peroxide at the injured officer and his partner, splashing them in the face.

Luis Jimenez grabbed a wooden shelf and threatened the cops. The four suspects were soon cuffed.

Castro was charged with assault, and José and Luis Jimenez were charged with resisting arrest and menacing.

Santos Jimenez was charged only with contempt of court, for violating the order of protection.
