RADIO’S WENDY WILLIAMS GETS OWN TALK SHOW

WBLS star Wendy Wil liams will headline her own daytime talk show set to premiere next year.

The Wendy Williams Show” will air only in New York, at first, before rolling out nationally. “It’s basically a capsulized version of a lot of the stuff I do on the radio,” Williams told The Post.

“My radio show pleases a varied audience, from the hip-hop kids to older women. I know what the daytime TV audience is – and I’ll fit right into that.”

The daily, hour-long show will be co-produced by Williams and Debmar-Mercury (“South Park“).

As of now, it’s slated to premiere late next spring.

Williams said her show will be on a “network” – but declined to say where “The Wendy Williams Show” will air. She did say, however, that it will be shot in front of a studio audience and that she won’t have a sidekick. “We’ll have everybody from Patti LaBelle talking about fashion, food and menopause to Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Remy Ma” and other celebrities, Williams said.

“I do want to have some celebrity chatabout and give advice, but I’m interested in all kinds of things busy women are interested in – food on-the-quick, fashion on-the-cheap and fun with no headaches,” she said. “I am a hair-and-makeup girl.”

Williams said she will “absolutely” continue hosting her WBLS show while doing the TV show. “In my 21 years in radio, I’ve been down this [TV] road several times . . . but it never panned out,” she said.

“It never felt more right than it does now. These people [Debmar] believe in the magic.”
