BRACETTY GETS THE BOOT

Apprentice jockey Jose Bracetty, 29, was taken off his mounts yesterday at Aqueduct after his license was denied by State Racing and Wagering Board “because it was determined that his experience, character and general fitness were inconsistent with the public interest and best interests of racing.” Bracetty was arrested Sunday in Nassau County after reported domestic dispute, charged with one felony count of assault “with intent to commit injury with a weapon.” Bracetty, a native of Puerto Rico, was previously arrested Oct. 10 for third-degree criminal mischief.

Apprentice jockey Carol Cedeno, 19, was riding star on first day of inner dirt track meet, booting home pair of winners: Love that Wicked ($8.20 in fourth race) and Love Abroad ($13 in ninth). Ramon Dominguez also won two.

FIRST RACE: Opener of IDT went to 2-1 favorite Moon Jumper, who came from off pace set by Anita Rosita, drew off with Dominguez doing his patented underarm look back couple of times through final furlong even though he had race well in hand.

SECOND RACE: Red Demon, 6-1, hustled out of gate under Rajiv Maragh, made lead along rail into clubhouse turn, set pace dogged down backside by 42-1 Money Feet, Gary Richards up. Turning for home, Money Feet cruised up outside Red Demon, took command to open daylight, looked home free until Red Demon kicked back into gear, came on again to run down Money Feet deep stretch. Hello Newman, 2-5 favorite dropping in for 16G in first start for John Parisella since being claimed last June for 50G, was no-count third.

SEVENTH RACE: Going mile and 70 yards, C.C. Lopez gunned 5-1 Tahoe Warrior to front from outside post 10, cleared field to drop over to rail into clubhouse turn, set pace dueling with 30-1 Coach Kent down backside, around far turn to top of stretch, when Tahoe Warrior finally put him away. But early efforts took their toll as 9-5 favorite Too Risky, Eibar Coa up, after ground-saving trip, knifed through horses rallying down stretch, outfinished Ready Enough making late run outside under Channing Hill.
