BODY PARTS IN HARLEM RIVER

Chopped-up and decomposed body parts were pulled from the Harlem River yesterday and cops believe they may belong to the mother and brother of a Bronx man who confessed to the grisly slayings last week.

The gruesome find was made off Roberto Clemente State Park in The Bronx – exactly where Lamar Platt, 23, told cops he had dumped his mother, Marlene Platt, 45, and his brother, Nashawn Platt, 22.

DNA testing will be done to confirm the identities.

Platt was arrested on Nov. 26 when friends and family of his mother and brother became frantic and called police after they hadn’t heard from them in a week.

He allegedly confessed that he had shot both his brother and mom in the head inside their apartment on University Avenue in Morris Heights a week before, then cut them up and threw their bodies in the river.

Police believe Platt carried out the killings on the night of Nov. 18 and in the early morning of Nov. 19 – his mother’s birthday.

He shot them both with a .38-caliber Smith & Wesson, muffling the noise by firing through a pillow, police sources said.

Then, Platt spent the next few days cutting the bodies into pieces with a machete and a serrated knife, cops said.

Platt allegedly told cops he went berserk on his family because they “were always getting on my case and getting me down.”

The fiend used a shopping cart to bring the body parts to the park over the course of three days, sources said.

He is being held without bail on murder charges.
