WOMAN BARES SUIT VS. SCORES

What’s a nice, chaste, demure, Scores cocktail waitress doing in an X-rated lawsuit like this?

Looking for payback, that’s what.

Francis Vargas, a glamorous but principled former strip-joint cocktail waitress, is suing her former employers at Scores West on West 27th Street for allegedly demanding she behave like a – well, like a stripper.

Her bosses repeatedly offered her money for sex, the suit alleges.

They also demanded she show more skin, and ordered her to cross the line physically with her amorous customers, according to the lawsuit, filed by Vargas in Manhattan Supreme Court.

When she declined, they allegedly banished her to the corners of the Scores floor – a Siberia of few and stingy customers.

“Sell yourself!” they’d advise, when she asked to be moved to a more profitable area of the floor.

“Take out your boobs more!” they counseled, unhelpfully.

Even Vargases’ fellow cocktail waitresses showed her no sympathy. When she sought advice from another server about getting out of Scores Siberia, she was told to try to keep her mouth shut.

“Act like a dumb blonde,” the server advised.

Along the way, Vargas allegedly had to put up with plenty of harassment by supervisors, particularly “Sammy” and “Gertz,” whose last names she never caught.

They’d slap her behind when she passed by, try to pin her up against a wall for a kiss, and call her a “bitch” and a “dumb Dominican,” the suit says.

“She was a waitress, not a stripper,” said her lawyer, Matthew Blit of Levine & Blit. “And even though you would expect this place to be tacky, it can’t be tacky.

“The law is the law,” he added, “even at Scores.”

Scores management declined to comment.
