What a drag it is getting mold.
First Bianca Jagger’s fungus-infested Park Avenue apartment made her sick, then it made her sue (and fight a countersuit) – and finally, a sheriff yesterday unceremoniously evicted the glamorous activist and carted her belongings off to storage.
The 62-year-old former wife of Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger knew the eviction was imminent, but was given zero notice it would actually take place yesterday, said her lawyer, Daniel Bryson.
“This is an absolute travesty,” Bryson complained. “It’s a retaliatory eviction – she faithfully paid her rent every month and now they do this without letting anyone know in advance.”
Jagger learned a sheriff had arrived at her 18th-floor apartment only when a neighbor phoned, Bryson said.
She had stopped living in the apartment years ago, but continued to pay the $4,600-a-month rent into an escrow account while the battle with landlord Katz Park Avenue Corp. raged.
Attorneys for the landlord did not return calls.
