Islander defenseman Brendan Witt is listed as day to day after an MRI on his sprained right ankle came back negative yesterday.
Witt, who is scheduled to see the team ankle specialist today, suffered the injury Friday in a win over Calgary during a five-game road trip in which the Isles earned six points to move into seventh place in the Eastern Conference.
They return to action tonight at Nassau Coliseum, hosting Montreal.
The Isles didn’t skate yesterday after being delayed by weather on their way back from Ottawa on Sunday.
