A GIANT THANK YOU FOR ‘JESS’

Heads turned, horns honked and Giants fans cheered wildly as The Post’s Jessica Simpson lookalike, Lynsey Nordstrom, took a triumphant victory lap around the city yesterday.

The dead ringer for the superstar singer came to town after her blockbuster appearance at Sunday’s NFC playoff game between Big Blue and the Dallas Cowboys.

Jints fans hailed her for helping jinx the Cowboys’ love-struck quarterback, Tony Romo, who dates the real Jessica Simpson and always seems to lose when she’s at the game.

“She’s the one from the New York Post!” exclaimed passer-by Rich Elston, 68, of Queens. “She’s a dead ringer!”

The whirlwind welcome by Gotham sports fans blew the small-town blonde away.

“It’s amazing – the people are very talkative,” said Nordstrom, 21, from Bothell, Wash. “I love the hustle and bustle and the feel of it. It’s beautiful.”

Nordstrom, 21, was brought to the game by The Post after news broke that Romo was angering Dallas fans by jetting off to Mexico for a seaside romp with girlfriend Simpson when he was supposed to be training in the days before the big game.

Romo has gotten a reputation for playing poorly whenever Simpson shows up at Texas Stadium. And since she wasn’t scheduled to be at Sunday’s game, The Post decided to make sure there was a lookalike on hand to continue her jinx.

“Only The Post,” said season-ticket holder Matt Sheldon of Brooklyn.

“You guys are great. She’s a lucky charm. We won!”

Nordstrom’s day in New York began with a trip to Modell’s Sporting Goods, where she ditched the No. 9 Tony Romo jersey she wore to the Dallas game for a Giants jersey with Eli Manning’s No. 10.

“Definitely, this is a better jersey for you,” said Modell’s clerk Iris Biaz as she rang up Nordstrom’s purchase. “Romo’s not that cute, anyway.”

Later, Nordstrom went to Madam Tussaud’s wax museum and stood next to the statue of the real Jessica.

“Hey, twin, why can’t you be real?” she gushed.
