BODY ‘PARTS’ FOR MORONS

The actor who played the charismatic corpse in “Weekend at Bernie’s” said yesterday he may offer movie parts to the two hustlers who were busted for propping their dead pal up in a chair and trying to cash his welfare check.

Terry Kiser, who starred in the 1989 cult classic and its kooky sequel, said a script for a third installment has been kicking around Tinseltown for ages.

“Bernie does extreme sports [in the new script],” said Kiser.

“We might have to get these guys to do bit parts in the film.”

He said his friend Lee Majors – of “Six Million Dollar Man” fame – called him after hearing about the bizarre stunt on Fox News.

“Only in New York. It’s just bizarre to hear,” he said. “It really was right out of the movie.

Of course, James O’Hare and David Daloia, both 65, will have to get out of Rikers Island before auditioning for any movie roles.

The two were cooling their heels in the clink yesterday because they couldn’t make the $1,000 bail.

They face up to seven years in prison on charges of forgery, criminal possession of a forged instrument, attempted petit larceny and a state public health law violation for failing to properly bury their friend.

Their “Weekday in Hell’s Kitchen” escapade began Tuesday, when O’Hare forged his recently deceased roommate Virgilio Cintron’s $355 check, cops said.

When the check-cashing shop clerk wouldn’t give him the money without seeing Cintron – who was a regular customer – the pair stuffed the stiff in an office chair and wheeled him down Ninth Avenue to the shop, authorities said.

Their macabre plan – which resembles the plot of “Weekend at Bernie’s” – backfired big time when a cop noticed something funny and booked the two.

But even friends of Cintron – who was dubbed “the Fox” – have expressed admiration for the wily pair’s final scam with their buddy.

“He’s probably laughing now,” said Jose Rodriguez, who called his old pal “a hustler.”

Meanwhile, a friend of the family said yesterday that Cintron’s sister, Elizabeth, is still struggling with what happened.

“She went to apartment to visit her brother and there was a police man there,” said the friend, who declined to give her name.

“[He said] I’m sorry to tell you your brother passed away. He’s at the check cashing place.

“If she’d gotten their three minutes earlier maybe none of this would’ve happened.”
