COPS: MAN STABBED BROTHERS IN DIAMOND DISTRICT INCIDENT

An enraged jewelry importer slashed and stabbed two brothers-in-law in their Diamond District office this afternoon in an argument over money, police said.

The importer was eventually subdued by his victims and taken into custody, cops said.

The suspect first confronted the two men at their diamond trade business, NGS incorporated, on the sixth floor at 56 W. 46th St. about 12:40 p.m., police said.

The importer demanded money that he said was owed him, and the dispute escalated into a bloody fight in which he slashed and stabbed one of the men in the torso and the other on the right hand, authorities said.

But the brothers-in-law fought him off. Police arrived, and all three people were taken to Bellevue Hospital with injuries that were described as not life-threatening.
