Jurors in the Nixzmary Brown case yesterday heard testimony from a secret defense witness – who apparently hurt the dead girl’s stepfather.
The testimony by an unidentified former female Rikers inmate was supposed to bolster the case of Cesar Rodriguez by shifting the blame for Nixzmary’s death onto her mother.
“This witness may have helped the prosecution more than the defense,” said a person familiar with the case.
