SUTTON IMPACT

The suburbs might be getting a little too quiet for Kenneth Cole. The shoe titan and his wife, Maria Cuomo Cole, have just paid $14.5 million for a five-bedroom, five-bath prewar co-op apartment at One Sutton Place South for $14.5 million.

Former George Soros money manager Dale Precoda is listed as the seller on deed transfers.

Included in the river-fronting residence with a classic Georgian interior design is a gallery, library, drawing room, family wing with four bedroom suites, separate guest suite, family room with river views and an industrial-size kitchen.

Wall Street financier Gilbert Lamphere previously owned the prewar residence. Lamphere, who, after a divorce, remarried and moved into a Richard Meier-designed glass tower in the West Village, lived in his former abode with ex-wife Louise.

The Coles, who have been raising their three daughters in Harrison, NY, previously owned a 14-room apartment at 927 Fifth Ave., which they bought in March 2000 for $11.2 million. They added millions in renovations – then never bothered to move in. They then listed the 6,000-square-foot, full-floor pad in the building in 2003 and sold it for $15 million.

Edward Lee Cave had the One Sutton Place South listing.

Hirt so good

Wealthy real-estate investor/enthusiast Michael Hirtenstein has added even more space to his planned TriBeCa bachelor pad.

Sources tell us the One York apartment, which we featured last August, has just grown from 6,600 square feet to 11,000 square feet of interior space. There is also 6,000 square feet of exterior space. Hirtenstein recently added two more condos to his previous 3½-combined-unit setup from the sixth through eighth floors.

He will now have a total of five bedrooms, three living rooms, two kitchens, a professional home theater, a chef’s dining room surrounded by vintage wines, a billiards room, a den, a staff lounge, a library, an office and a pool. Connecting the floors will be a lit SensiTile staircase. We hear the total cost of the units and the build-out will be around $35 million. Hirtenstein, who previously was Jay-Z’s landlord at the Time Warner Center, is also concentrating on the massive outdoor space, with imported Portuguese stone, that will include a large heated pool, hot tub, day beds and pergolas.

One York is becoming a high-profile building. Brown Harris Stevens broker Wilbur Gonzalez recently sold a 2,300-square-foot unit with 22-foot ceilings on the 11th floor for $8.5 million – nearly $3,700 per square foot.

Meanwhile, Hirtenstein is selling his grand, 8,800-square-foot townhouse at 23 Gramercy Park South for $20 million. The home is listed by Brown Harris Stevens’ Wendy Maitland and the Corcoran Group’s Lauren Muss. It will be the site of a Metropolitan Home/Showtime designer showcase and host charity events in September, with areas inspired by Showtime programs. Hey, where’s the “L Word” lounge?

Wild West End

It’s possible that Victoria’s Secret hottie Oluchi Onweagba might get a celebrity neighbor at 10 West End Ave., if the visitors roster is any indication.

So far, Andie McDowell, Christie Brinkley and Rosie O’Donnell have all made the trek to the Far West Side to check out the building’s nine remaining residences, mostly on the penthouse-level floors tagged as the “Horizon Collection” because of the views.

O’Donnell checked out a 1,329-square-foot two-bedroom residence like the one Oluchi owns. Brinkley was interested in a similar two-bedroom, as well as a 1,949-square-foot three-bedroom priced at $3.2 million.

Derek Jeter, who one would think is pretty happy in his 88th-floor Trump World Tower lair, and Rangers goalie Stephen Valiquette have also been spotted at the building. Perhaps they were checking out the pool and fitness center designed by celeb trainer Ari Weller.
