LINDSAY LOHAN GETS FIRST FILM ROLE SINCE REHAB

Now that Lindsay Lohan has gotten her personal life back on track, it’s time for her to start rehabbing her career.

The 21-year-old took her first step towards re-conquering Hollywood today by signing on to the high-profile film “Manson Girls.” The film’s director, Brad Wyman, confirmed to E! News that Lindsay will play Nancy Pittman, one of Charles Manson’s loyal cult followers who was also his most ardent supporter throughout the notorious Tate/LaBianca murder trial.

Manson Girls is just the latest in a new trend for Lindsay: playing ripped-from-the-headlines characters. In “Chapter 27,” out tomorrow, Lohan plays Jude, a compilation of real people who associated with John Lennon’s assassin, Mark David Chapman.

And Lohan might be going for a three-peat — she has always been incredibly vocal about wanting to portray late screen legend Marilyn Monroe.

Lohan recently got a lot of attention for recreating a famous Monroe photo shoot for New York magazine.
