Money can’t buy Paul McCartney love, nor can it buy the thrill of a free T-shirt.
The near-billionaire was at Barclays Center on Monday, watching the Nets play the 76ers, when the member of the most famous band in history reacted like a teenage girl seeing him at Shea Stadium in 1965.
During a break in action, Barclays Center staffers shot T-shirts into the crowd. The former Beatle called for a T-shirt, but was unable to reach far enough to grab it, displaying legitimate disappointment at failing to get the free shirt.
Maybe love isn’t all you need.
