The Honey Brothers, “Demonstration”

Swirling indie-pop melodies and old-timey folk harmonies get along handsomely with this track’s occasional, vaguely Eastern instrumentals.

A.C. Newman, “Submarines of Stockholm”

This indie-pop song strikes a welcome balance between sinister clamoring and being totally Beatles-esque. He’s at Bowery Ballroom on March 15.

Moonshot, “Blood Red”

This hard-rocking band – it’s Stone Sour guitarist Josh Rand’s other group – lightens up with this pretty ballad featuring a hint of country-style longing. They’re at Mercury Lounge tomorrow.

Matt and Kim, “Daylight”

It’s impossible to resist the cheeriness of this keyboard and drum track from the duo’s new sophomore disc, “Grand.” They’re in Brooklyn at the Music Hall of Williamsburg on Thursday.

Curumin, “Caixa Preta”

Brazilian musician Curumin spitfires Portuguese lyrics over a sweet electro, hip-hop, samba-funk beat on this single off “JapanPopShow.” He’s at Mercury Lounge on Jan. 30.
