SOUTHAMPTON, LI

In these parts, a “classic farmhouse” isn’t exactly the kind of homestead where you’d find Ma and Pa Kettle. Even before it was “completely renovated” in 2007, this “village home” (and Southampton Village isn’t what you might think of as a village, either, but that’s beside the point) already featured “elaborate” moldings, “hand-hewn” wooden beams and stained-glass windows. With a touch of “forward-thinking design,” the 2,500-square-foot residence now offers three bedrooms, 2 1/2 bathrooms, a study and a “sleek” chef’s kitchen with a dining nook. Plus, there’s a separate two-bedroom guest cottage and a heated gunite swimming pool.
