JAYSON WILLIAMS BLASTED BY WIFE IN DIVORCE SUIT

It’s “Unhappy Valentine’s Day” for former New Jersey Nets star Jayson Williams.

The 6-foot-9 ex-NBA player was slam dunked by his wife, Tanya Young Williams, tonight in a bombshell divorce suit that accuses him of physical and emotional abuse, family abandonment, adultery, and substance abuse, The Post has learned.

The blockbuster divorce includes allegations that Williams threatened to kill her, faked committing suicide, falsely said that he had stomach cancer and urinated in the kitchen sink. His wife also allegedly found cocaine and condoms in his drawer, sources familiar with the case said.

Tanya Williams, who is black, also claims in the court papers that he cruelly bragged to her that he performed oral sex “on white girls.”

“Here is a guy who has spent wildly and dissipated marital assets and has, of course, acted reckless and been just absent, violent and not a father, not a husband,” said her lawyer, Malcolm Taub.

The Manhattan Supreme Court filing came hours before the seventh anniversary of the day Jayson fatally shot his limo driver in his New Jersey mansion after a booze-fueled night spent entertaining a some Harlem Globetrotters and friends.

It also comes a week after the New Jersey state Supreme Court heard the last pending legal issue before Jayson is retried on a manslaughter charge in the death of driver Costas “Gus” Christofi, 55.

“We’re alleging cruel and inhuman treatment,” said Taub, adding that Williams and his lawyers have ignored Tanya’s efforts to quietly end the marriage.

A lawyer for Williams blasted his wife’s claims as a “work of fiction.”

“Jayson is saddened that Mrs. Williams would make such false claims in an attempt to revive her failed media career,” said attorney Christopher Adams.

“This is a manipulative event timed to create a media circus on the anniversary of a tragedy and is utterly shameful,” he added. “I think her lack of credibility is obvious when Jayson first learns of her work of fiction from the press.”

Taub, however, said Jayson had caused “violent situations” in the marriage, including shattering car windows, ranting, and “instances of physical violence.”

The lawyer also alleged that Jayson abused alcohol.

The couple – living apart in Manhattan and South Carolina – has two children, Tryumph, 6, and Whizdom, 4.

Jayson was convicted in 2004 of covering up his role in Christofi’s death. The shooting occurred when Jayson, apparently in an effort to frighten the driver for fun, snapped shut a shotgun that then discharged.

That trial also ended in the former St. John’s University star’s acquittal on a charge of aggravated manslaughter, but jurors could not decide on a lesser charge of reckless manslaughter.

His retrial on the outstanding manslaughter count has been delayed for nearly five years.
