New Yorkers lost out on millions in unclaimed tax credits last year, and a Queens councilman yesterday urged them not to leave some $500 million on the table in 2009.
Eligible taxpayers would receive that amount in earned-income tax credits if all of them signed up, according to Eric Gioia.
