‘DIPLOMA MILL’ RAPS VS. PAIR

The state broke up a Medicaid diploma mill in Brooklyn that issued bogus certificates to home health aides it never trained, Attorney General Andrew Cuomo charged yesterday.

The scam sapped $1 million from the Medicaid program, said Cuomo in reporting the indictment of two employees of the Global Health Care Training Center on Flatbush Avenue.

Owner-operator Wayne Lynch and employee Charles Trevor were arrested and charged with grand larceny for the alleged theft of Medicaid funds.

According to the indictment, Global charged $300 for certifications falsely claiming that aides were properly trained by registered nurses.
